These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services provided by Loaf ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), including our website, adventure retreats, and community platform.


1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our services.


2. Description of Services


2.1 Adventure Retreats

Loaf provides curated adventure retreat experiences combining outdoor activities, community building, and personal development opportunities. Retreats typically last 7 days and accommodate 8-15 participants.


2.2 Community Platform

Loaf operates an online community platform connecting retreat participants and facilitating ongoing engagement through events and communications.


2.3 Application Process

All retreat participation is subject to an application and curation process designed to ensure group compatibility and safety.


3. Eligibility and Registration


3.1 Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years of age to use our services.


3.2 Application Requirements

To participate in retreats, you must:

  • Complete the application process truthfully and completely

  • Provide accurate health and fitness information

  • Meet any specific requirements for individual retreats

  • Pay all applicable fees


3.3 Acceptance Process

Loaf reserves the right to accept or decline any application at its sole discretion based on factors including but not limited to group compatibility, safety considerations, and capacity limitations.


4. Payment Terms and Conditions


4.1 Pricing and Fees

Retreat pricing ranges from $2,490 to $5,000 per person and includes accommodations, meals, activities, local transportation, and guided services as specified for each retreat.


4.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed through third-party payment processors. Loaf does not store credit card information.


4.3 Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations more than 90 days prior to departure:

  • Refund of amount paid minus $500 administrative fee

Cancellations 60-90 days prior to departure:

  • 50% refund of amount paid

Cancellations 30-60 days prior to departure:

  • 25% refund of amount paid

Cancellations less than 30 days prior to departure:

  • No refund

Medical emergencies and visa denials:

  • Considered on a case-by-case basis with appropriate documentation


Loaf-initiated cancellations:

  • Full refund or credit toward future retreat


5. Health and Safety Requirements


5.1 Health Disclosures

Participants must disclose all relevant medical conditions, physical limitations, dietary restrictions, and other health-related information that may affect their ability to participate safely in retreat activities.


5.2 Fitness Requirements

Participants must possess the physical fitness level necessary to engage in the advertised activities for their specific retreat.


5.3 Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory for all international retreats and must include coverage for adventure activities, medical emergencies, and evacuation.


5.4 Vaccinations and Health Precautions

Participants are responsible for obtaining all required vaccinations and following health recommendations for their retreat destination.


6. Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability


6.1 Acknowledgment of Risks

Participants acknowledge that adventure activities involve inherent risks that may result in personal injury, death, property damage, or other losses.


These risks include but are not limited to:

  • Accidents during outdoor activities

  • Transportation-related incidents

  • Medical emergencies in remote locations

  • Natural disasters and extreme weather conditions

  • Political instability or security threats


6.2 Voluntary Participation

Participation in all retreat activities is voluntary. Participants may decline to participate in any activity they deem unsafe or inappropriate for their abilities.


6.3 Release of Claims

Participants release, discharge, and hold harmless Loaf, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from or related to their participation in retreat activities, except for claims arising from gross negligence or intentional misconduct by Loaf.


6.4 Indemnification

Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Loaf from any claims brought by third parties arising from their conduct during retreat activities.


7. Participant Conduct and Community Standards


7.1 Expected Behavior

Participants are expected to:

  • Treat all individuals with respect and courtesy

  • Follow the instructions of guides and facilitators

  • Comply with local laws and customs

  • Respect the environment and local communities

  • Maintain appropriate boundaries with other participants


7.2 Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviors may result in removal from a retreat without refund:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior

  • Endangering oneself or others through reckless conduct

  • Excessive consumption of alcohol or use of illegal substances

  • Disruption of group activities or dynamics

  • Violation of local laws or regulations


7.3 Removal from Retreat

Loaf reserves the right to remove any participant whose conduct violates these Terms or endangers the safety or enjoyment of others. Removed participants are responsible for their own transportation and accommodation costs.


8. Intellectual Property and Content Usage


8.1 Loaf's Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and intellectual property associated with Loaf's services remain the exclusive property of Loaf.


8.2 Photography and Video Consent

By participating in retreats, participants consent to being photographed and recorded during activities. Loaf may use such content for marketing, promotional, and operational purposes.


8.3 Opt-Out Rights

Participants may request to opt out of photography or request removal of their image from marketing materials by contacting hello@loaf.so.


8.4 Participant Content

Participants retain ownership of content they create but grant Loaf a non-exclusive license to use such content for community and marketing purposes.


9. Travel Arrangements and International Considerations


9.1 Participant Responsibilities

Participants are responsible for:

  • Obtaining valid passports and necessary visas

  • Arranging international transportation to and from retreat locations

  • Securing appropriate travel insurance

  • Understanding and complying with destination-specific requirements


9.2 Itinerary Changes

Loaf reserves the right to modify retreat itineraries due to weather conditions, safety concerns, political situations, or other circumstances beyond its control.


9.3 Force Majeure

Loaf is not liable for delays, cancellations, or modifications caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, political unrest, transportation strikes, or government restrictions.


10. Privacy and Data Protection

The collection, use, and protection of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.


11. Termination


11.1 Termination by Loaf

Loaf may terminate or suspend access to services immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or Loaf's interests.


11.2 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, the right to use Loaf's services ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination remain in effect.


12. Dispute Resolution


12.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of law principles.


12.2 Dispute Resolution Process

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of Loaf's services shall be resolved through:
